The Saluda Charitable Foundation is a faith based Christian humanitarian group dedicated to serving those in need. We are headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina, and have served on four continents.

While we do not actively seek financial support from others, we do "partner" with like-minded individuals and organizations to achieve common goals. In these partnerships, we are proud of our financial and spiritual accountability. No donated funds are used for travel, salaries, or expenses by any of our American volunteers, staff or associates. Only local and indigenous staff members are paid salaries or expenses.

January 2008: Granddaughter of Saluda-Ternopil President Ihor Vovk born to Alex and Vikka, her name is Irene.

January 2008: Food Pantry Sofia is serving 110 handicapped and poor children with a well-balanced ration of food. The pantry also serves as a distribution point for clothes, medicines and other donated items.

December 2007: The New Hope Village Senior Home is completely full!

December 2007: The New Hope Village Family Orphanage is "expecting" three more children. Foster parents Igor and Ollya are proving to be fantastic at assimilating and rearing these orpahns.

December 2007: Provided roundtrip transportation for Drs. Rik and Sabine Celie from Oregon to mission base in Bolivia.

November 2007: Created the Eugene Vovk Scholarship for Law and Public Service. The first recipient begins law school in January 2008.

September 2007: Saluda Charitable has funded a major purchase of equipment for Asheville-based MedEquip, a Christian missionary group specializing in repair and maintenance of vital medical equipment. MedEquip works extensively in Latin America and the Caribbean.
